It occurs between spouses and partners, parents and children, children and grandparents, and brothers and sisters. Victims can be any age, race or gender.
Domestic violence is also an escalating pattern of violence or intimidation by an intimate partner, which is used to gain power and control. The categories of domestic violence have been identified as:
Domestic violence cuts across lines of race, nationality, language, culture, economics, sexual orientation, physical ability, and religion to affect people from all walks of life. Domestic violence is serious wherever and whenever it happens. Racism, sexism, homophobia and other forms of oppression can impact how people experience violence in their lives, and how they are able to get help. Substance abuse problems or mental illnesses, while not responsible for domestic violence, can change someone’s perspective of violence and the kind of treatment that is needed. Licensed mental health professionals with forensic and deviant sexual behavior specializations provide rehabilitative services.
Applied Behavioral Science’s Sexual Behavior Program is a highly confidential program. ABS provides ongoing evaluative counseling and can help stabilize impulsive behavior, redeem integrity of reputation, and help resolve family, marital, employment, legal, and child welfare issues.
ABS offers behavioral health and addiction treatment options for high profile and celebrity patients & clients.
The media often quickly finds out when a well-known performing artist, actor, attorney, doctor, business owner, athlete, police officer, government employee or politician has been compelled to seek treatment for behavioral health or addiction issues, especially if it is under mandate.
Powerful executives, successful businesspeople, professionals, the well-known affluent, and other community leaders often have much to lose if the people among them whom they work and socialize with know their problems.
This population has a unique clinical and psychosocial circumstance that requires specialized treatment approaches geared towards satisfying behavioral treatment goals and outside mandate obligations. This population is often targeted with false or malicious accusations leading to high levels of mental distress or in need of highly confidential and supportive, rehabilitative attention.
High profile patients often do not seek behavioral health and addiction treatment because of fear of publicity or perceived lack of confidentiality. Outpatient therapy for high profile and celebrity patients is almost always individualized. Services are truly confidential, so that colleagues, clients and even family members are often not aware that a patient is receiving behavioral health or addiction counseling. ABS provides meticulous and accurate progress reporting to courts or mandating institutions.
Patient’s lifestyle and responsibilities are taken into account, as a high-achieving individual is not about to change careers or lifestyles except in very unusual and specific instances. Therapy may takes place at the patient’s home or place of business, so that his or her routine is disrupted as little as possible.
The counselor provides therapy that is based around the patient’s activities and responsibilities, and therapy guides the patient to find healthy avenues to deal with issues that may indeed arise due to career related pressures.
High achievers with behavioral issues or addictions are at risk of jeopardizing their careers and goals, which keeps them from accomplishing much in the long-term. The High-Profile Counseling Program is essential to them, so these individuals can continue to achieve their goals and succeed.

I am not angry anymore.
I am so glad that alternatives are available for my clients. I often find it best to recommend immediate enrollment in ABS outpatient services for defendants arrested for domestic violence, assaults, or sexual offenses. This helps them not only legally but emotionally and behaviorally. I was instantly able to find services at ABS for clients that speak English, Polish, Russian and other languages.
The hardest decisions I must make are pertaining to the welfare for children suspected of abuse or neglect from homes shattered due to anger, domestic violence, addiction or sexual abuse. Especially when blame is pointed in all directions. Having birth parents’ cooperation with ABS Human Betterment Programs always helps with decisions leading to reunification.
